Disk Pro Privacy Policy
Effective 12 October 2026. Publisher: Stackwares. Contact: dev@stackwares.com.
This policy describes the Mac App Store edition of Disk Pro. Disk Pro analyzes folders you authorize on your Mac. File and folder names, paths, allocated sizes, scan results, and cleanup choices are processed locally. Preferences, selected backup paths and opaque folder-access bookmarks are stored in the macOS sandbox container. Bookmarks allow selected folders to be accessed again after restarting; protected or revoked locations may require selection again or remain inaccessible. Scans are held in memory and are rebuilt when requested.
This edition has no accounts, advertising, sponsor reporting, analytics, automatic crash uploader, subscriptions, in-app purchases, SSH scans or cloud account connections. It makes no application network requests. Apple handles the paid download, payments, updates and any platform diagnostics under Apple's policies and your settings. Disk Pro can open a link in your default browser at your request; that browser and destination have their own privacy practices.
Disk Pro reads filesystem metadata to visualize usage. Cleanup may read file contents when copying a local backup and changes or removes files only after confirmation. Selected files moved to Trash remain until emptied; permanent deletion has no undo. Scan sizes are estimates and access-denied locations can make results incomplete. Local backup is a copy to a user-selected destination and is not sent to a Stackwares server. MacOS-managed File Provider folders may have their own synchronization behavior.
Settings and bookmarks remain until removed by the user. To reset Disk Pro's local data, quit the app and remove its data through macOS; removing the application alone may leave its container. Backups and user files are independent and are not removed by resetting app settings. This app does not promise forensic erasure.
The product website uses local assets, system fonts and no analytics, cookies, forms, remote fonts or tracking scripts added by Stackwares. A hosting provider can process ordinary web requests, including IP addresses and request logs, under its own policies. Email sent to dev@stackwares.com is processed by Stackwares and its email provider to respond to support and privacy enquiries. Do not send passwords or sensitive file contents.
